The UTS Stadium hosts its first midweek Northern Premier League East game as local rivals Consett AFC make the short trip from County Durham (7:45pm kick-off)

Dunston will look to bounce back from Saturday’s disappointing 3-1 defeat to Garforth Town. Likewise, tonight’s visitors will also be looking to bounce back in tonight’s game following Consett’s 1-0 defeat to Ossett United on Saturday.

Opposition Overview:
Consett came into the game following a 1-0 defeat to Ossett United in their first league game of the season following an initial draw in their FA Cup tie against North Shields which sent both sides to a replay last Tuesday with Consett winning the replay 2-1.

Last Time Out:
The UTS stadium played host to the two sides at the end of January. Dunston took the lead inside six minutes following an excellent free-kick from Rory Edwards before Isaac Walker levelled just seven minutes later.

The second half started slower but Dunston re-took the lead when David Robinson’s header flew past Moss to regain Dunston’s lead. However, just four minutes later current Dunston winger Ben Ramsey, managed to squeeze his shot past Dan Lowson to share the points.

Players To Watch:
Nic Bollado - Dunston UTS: The striker comes into the game on the back of scoring three times in our opening three fixtures. Scoring twice in our opening day win over Matlock Town and also scoring on Saturday against garforth Town.

Oli Thompson - Consett AFC: The forward who joined in the summer following his release from Gateshead will look to hit the ground running early on. Following previous loan spells at the likes of Ashington and Blyth Spartans, the young forward also gained experience playing in Gateshead’s FA Trophy campaigns in 2023 and 2024.

Dunston View:
Following Dunston’s disappointing defeat to Garforth Town on Saturday, manager Jon McDonald has looked ahead to tonight’s fixture against Consett and the threat that the Steelmen pose. “We know all about Consett. We've had some excellent games against them in recent years and they’ve got some real attacking threat in their squad”.

Kick-off is at 7:45pm with admission prices being; £12 for Adults, £7 for Concessions and £4 for Under 16s. We accept cash and card payments. Season ticket holders receive free entry.
